In the End, We Are All Just Human McNuggets

I hate dog movies. They are always sad. I just watched this movie on Netflix and I bawled. I almost never tear up in movies, and this is the definitely the first time I have ever actually bawled my little eyes out over a movie. I felt like such a tit.

If you want to get an idea of how sad this movie is, take the Jurassic Bark episode of Futurama, combine the sad parts of Marley and Me, and multiply it by 50. I’m pretty convinced Jurassic Bark stemmed from this story, which is actually a true story and knowing that doesn’t at all help with the epic level of sad that this movie is.

Long story short, back in the 20’s, this dog ‘Hachi’ would wait for his owner every day at the train station at 5:00. One day, Hachi’s owner died while he was at work. Hachi continued to wait at the train station at 5:00 everyday - for nine years.
